andi and I and
Andy Young are old friends of The Garden, and we've done
many shows with
them over the years. This show was a CD release party for andi and I's latest, Harder, and the
show was absolutely packed.
For lighting, this show seemed to want a somewhat funky feel. I used my normal colors for front (R55, in Altman 6" fresnels), top (R367, also with 6" fresnels) and cyc wash (R74, in WFL 1k pars). Drums got a fresnel toplight in R39, and I also used a couple of 1k MFL pars in R39 for downstage sidelight. A second channel of sidelight in R73 (also 1k MFLs) was added, but was really too pale for this show. Completing the design was a couple of NSP pars in R370 on the drums from the side, and a second system of toplight in R23 (using our three 'ancient' 500w fresnels). And finally, we added our trusty mirror ball for some fun at the end of the show. Click on the photos for larger images. | ||||
